The Shanghai Science & Technology Museum is one of the largest of its kind in China, sitting on the edge of Century Park in Pudong. It is highly interactive: a robot pavilion, a space exhibit, a rainforest dome, a children's discovery hall, plus the IMAX dome theater showing science documentaries. Best for families with school-age kids; expect 2.5–3 hours. Closed on Mondays. The metro stop (Line 2, Shanghai Science & Technology Museum) is famously where the underground fake-goods bazaar used to be — that's been mostly cleaned up, but the station is huge and well-signed. Combine with Century Park (next door) for a family afternoon.
